NOS PARTUM PER LUMEN IS A NEW AND UPCOMING PHOTOGRAHPY GROUP SUPPORTING NEW DA PHOTOGRAPHERS

This is the first month this group has ever seen. Somewhat empty now, but that will change soon enough. Let me start by saying that this group is only for photographers. But not just any kind of photographer. I'm talking about the kind of photographer that sees light differently than normal people. Someone who sees something and thinks, man I wish I had my camera. An artist who can see something beautiful in any scene, capture it in a new and creative way, and present it to the world as his/her own. This is where the name of the group, Nos Partum per Lumen, came from. It is latin for We create with light. I find it even more appropriate than the word photography, which is latin for drawing with light, because in the past few decades photography has skyrocketed in availability, affordability, and quality; it has taken on a whole new life and has become both a film and digital technology that can be manipulated and bent almost completely at the artists whim.

__Membership__
1. Must have photographs in your gallery.
2. Must have a link/icon of this group in your journal entries.
3. Send us a note telling us you want to join.
4. Tell other photographers about this group.
5. Be ready and willing to comment/critique other members.

__Photograph Submissions__
> Send your authorization and a link to your picture in a note(if it is on deviantart follow these simple steps)
1. Go to your photo on your deviant art gallery and click on the thumbnail.
2. When you view a deviation you will notice a number at the end of the URL, for example (www.deviantart.com/view/7400861)
3. To send this deviation to us you would simply copy, paste, and send us this link in a note.
> Sometimes there will be Events and Contests to send pictures for.

__Events/Contests__

. Be sure to give us authorization if you want your photo to be considered.
. Respect the Event or Contest limitations

Group Rules
According to the DA admins we are not allowed to save members as favorites, this is abusive. Please do not ask us to do this, because we will not even be using the favorites function for this group to avoid any abuses that could result in immediate and permanent administrative action. Thanks.
